I need to stop sleeping when I should be blogging.

Lately it’s been working like this: I stay up late and then finally I start getting tired. My brain doesn’t seem to be working very well, so I go get my jammies on and I go to bed. I snuggle down into my down comforter and feather bed, turn out the lights, put my head on the pillow…and then suddenly a blog is writing itself in my head. I am literally writing it in my head as I am trying to get to sleep.

Instead of getting up and writing it down, I pussy out and actually go to sleep, thinking of key phrases and ideas that I can use to remind myself tomorrow of this awesome blog that I am thinking out in my head.

Of course, the next day when I wake up I’m too busy getting ready for work to think more about it, I don’t have myspace at work, and by the time I get home, my carefully selected memory trigger phrases don’t work and no matter how hard I try, I can’t recreate the perfection that was the blog that wasn’t. It sucks.

Obviously, I need to write more and sleep less.

Anyway, I’m just taking a break from cleaning the house for the friends coming over tonight, and I just wanted to let you all know of my failure to dedicate myself to blogging. I will try harder. Ooh, do I smell a New Year’s resolution? Yuck.
