I found a new way to indulge myself and my need to change my look. Check it out:

For like, $40, I can have long hair any time I want. How fun is that? It even has grow out, which makes it so ghetto-fabulous it’s almost painful.

There’s another red one I want, it’s long  and almost feathered. I think I could rock the seventies with a fair amount of success.

Thinking about self-indulgence got me thinking, I believe I was a bit of a brat last night. Maybe it was the wig, maybe it was just that I was a little excessively “tatered”, as PVDD puts it, but I do believe that I was being a brat. Indulging my own sense of importance. There are times when that’s cute, and there are times when it’s really not, and I believe last night became one of those nights.

I did think that singing was a good idea, so we went to a karaoke bar, and while I remember singing, all PVDD will say about the performance is that “I’ve sung better karaoke before”. Ew.

I don’t really remember getting home, but I do remember slurring to PVDD whether he wanted me to drive. To which he replied, “You know, I’ve given it a lot of thought over the last half a second, and I think…NO.”

More mindless self-indulgence. An indulgence I am paying for this morning in some small measure (because we all know I don’t get hangovers). In fact, I might go so far as to say that I might still be intoxicated. Although that might be pushing it.

On the agenda for today is walking to Starbucks, before indulging in my coffee. Then off to Jeep dealerships, to indulge my desire for a Wrangler.

I saw a chrome plated sign I wanted one time from Pottery Barn…it was the word “indulge” in cursive writing. I never really realized how true it is, that I am self-indulgent. Is that bad? I don’t know. It’s fun, mostly. But it does lead to brattiness on occasion.

Here’s to mindless self-indulgence. Cheers!
