As mentioned in my traveling blog, I have replaced my camera. Therefore, I have some prettypretty gardening pictures to show you! The backyard’s not done yet, but I have pics of that too. Let’s begin!

Firstly, the backyard. Here’s the semi-finished product:

You can see my pathetic little daylily plant in the middle of that god-awful stump we decided to make into a planter. It has not started doing very well yet. I have a bunch of gladiolas and some DAHLIAS (hehe) in there too but I don’t know if they’re actually going to grow.

My bluebells grew back! I transplanted them to the side of the house where they will be safe from predatory weedeaters.

My irises that I photographed earlier in the year (in my Spring LFB blog) are now coming in like gangbusters. They haven’t started blooming yet, but it’s only a matter of time. I will definitely need to split them this year. I have three clumps like the one shown above.

Anybody know what plant this is? It’s really pretty, soon it will be covered by the little flowers you see there but I don’t know what it is. It appears to be a groundcover. It’s evergreen and blooms every year.

This is one of my two jasmine vines. I put up the trellis and planted one on either side of it. That’s the mystery ground cover on the left. The jasmines should bloom soon and I am SO excited!!!

My little hostas! I grew them from tubers. I didn’t think a few of them would make it but they are coming in like gangbusters, too!

In the midst of all the hostas I have a hydrangea that’s been there for a while. I pruned it back this year pretty hardcore because it was getting a little leggy so it looks a little better now.

My yucca plants! I didn’t know they were yuccas till PVDD found them in one of our gardening books. He does come in handy.

Anyway, that’s all for now, I still have some geraniums and bleeding hearts to plant too, and then I will take more pics! Enjoy and I will do another blog here soon with the Seaworld pics from tomorrow!
