It is, once again, Password Change Day.

This is the day in which I am forced to change my password on my work computer, somehow completely screw it up, and spend the entire day trying to get it fixed. I delay until the very last minute every single time because…every single time it doesn’t work.

After I get my coffee, if my computer still isn't working, I will creatively dispose of it.

So far this morning, I have had three different passwords. I have been able to log into my computer using my old-old-old password, my VPN with my old-old password, but can’t log into my Outlook, our intranet or Sharepoint using ANY password. Earlier, I was able to get my emails on my iPhone and iPad even though I couldn’t even open my computer…but since password change #247, I can no longer even access my email on those devices either.

I have made two calls to the company helpdesk, resulting in three trouble tickets. I have had my password changed three times this morning (this is in addition to the two times I changed it yesterday), and I am currently waiting for my account to be unlocked since I tried to log in unsuccessfully too many times. I’m hoping they call me instead of emailing me that it’s done…BECAUSE I CAN’T ACCESS MY EMAIL.

I’ve already had to cancel two meetings this morning because I may be able to call in, but I can’t receive any meeting materials via email, I can’t log into the Webex, and basically I would be completely clueless on what is being discussed.

Thank goodness we have single sign-on. Not.

Sooooo…what to do when you can’t work and you’re having severe anxiety about all the emails you’re probably receiving and can’t see OR respond to?

I think it’s time to post a blog, then get a coffee.

If you’re emailing me or wondering why I’m not in your meeting…I’ll get back to you when my account becomes un-fucked. Cheers!

Seriously ticked off this morning.
