One of the things I find most beautiful, exasperating, and plan-ruining about living in this wonderful, verdant state is the weather.

I don’t think it’s a surprise for anyone that the Pacific Northwest is known for its rain. Specifically, that it happens often all the time. While this is true, to a point, the weather in Seattle and surrounding areas can actually be incredibly beautiful, especially during the summer and early fall.

Sometimes, however, we get both in the same day.

Moments after taking that picture, I snapped this one, pointing towards the east.

At least on the grumpy side of the street, there’s a rainbow. I like to think it’s the PNW’s way of apologizing for not being able to decide whether I should wear a winter coat or not.

Apology accepted.
