As you may have already gathered, I am 2N, uNsiNkable. If you’re here looking at this page, I can only presume it’s because you want to know what you’ve gotten yourself into by landing here. Alternatively, I have coerced you into reading my blog and now you want to get the Cliff Notes so you can fool me into thinking you’ve actually read it.
Either way is fine with me, really.
Blogging
I started blogging in 2006 on MySpace (a.k.a. MySpaz) Through the years, I have gone on several hiatuses but always seem to come back to spilling out my guts all over the internets.
Due to my most recent 1+ year hiatus from posting little bits of bloggity goodness, I have few followers, but I firmly believe that if I blog it, they will come. So cheers to getting some blogfriends up in here!
On this blog you’ll find a mishmash of subjects:
- day to day ruminations
- fiction (mostly from my Cursive Verses writing group)
- bad words (in proliferation)
- humor – from my own embarrassing events to others, some being particularly disgusting, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!
- serious blogs ranging from tear jerky to inspirational
- weekly posts about my weight loss project
- product reviews and recommendations
- pictures. Lots of pictures.
You probably won’t find a whole lot about politics, religion, or current events, unless I’m bitching.
Projects
I have two projects I’m working on right now, both having to do with blogging.
Cursive Verses is a creative writing group with a selection of weekly writing prompts posted on Fridays. Anyone is welcome to join, and you will see fiction posts on this blog from time to time that I’ve written in response to the prompts. You can learn more about Cursive Verses here.
Coffee, Grit and Inspiration (or CGInspo, because the whole thing is a mouthful) is a personal growth blog I started for two reasons. Firstly, to encourage new ways of thinking in my own life, and second, to inspire others who might need just a little bit of help in finding a little something extra in their own lives. It’s been keeping me super busy but it has been so, so rewarding. You can read more about CGInspo here.
Home Fries
I live in the Great Pacific Northwest, with a variety of family members (both four-legged and not) that make up the Casa de 2N. I’m older than I think I am, sadly, however I was informed just today that 40 is the new 30 and to quit my bitching, so I shall leave it at that.
I have a wonderful husband (referred to in this blog as BandGeek) and a fantastic kid (referred to, imaginatively, as The Kid), a big dopey dog I call DopeDog, and two irritating (but loveable) cats.
I’m mouthy, non-politically correct, passionate, opinionated, sometimes rude (but also I’m Canadian, so I can’t be THAT rude, it’s against our nature), and usually fairly funny. I do have a tendency to unleash the mush sometimes, however, so be warned.
Work & Hobbies
I work as a Business Analysis Manager in IT, for a fabulous company that I’ve worked at since 2001. I work a lot, but since I get to work from home, it’s actually OK. That does mean that I almost never leave the house some weeks, however, which gets old super fast.
For hobbies, I have waaaaay too many. Right now I’m trying my hand at watercolors, drawing, and painting rocks, plus I sew, make scrapbooks, create videos, and make stuff out of wood. In addition to all of that (a lot to take in, I know) I love to read, write, play video games, and I am not ashamed to admit that I am a huge Skyrim fangirl.
