the incredible shrinking woman 2.0: week twelve
Pounds lost: 27.2
% to super goal: 21.6
TRYING to do this damn thing. I can. I will.
This was not a banner week, my friends.
I had a bunch of challenges, all self-imposed, which made it so I didn’t lose quite as much as I was expecting. While I ended up at a lower weight today than I was a week ago, I was ALL OVER THE PLACE throughout the week. I think I gained and lost like five or six pounds!
First: I had the 4th through the 7th off work, and completely, totally, with wild abandon slacked off on my 6,000 steps per day goal.
Second: Again with complete and total wild abandon, I organized a karaoke night at my favorite old-school dive bar where I had 1/2 a plate of steak fries, ranch, and more nectarinis than you can shake a stick at (well, I mean, I don’t know. You might have a big stick) but it was a lot. Plus a couple shots. AND I didn’t get my steps in.
THIRD: Usually I will do two or three coffees per week. I scaled them back to use nonfat and sugar free mocha, but they are still a significant portion of my daily calories. Well, this last week I had one almost every. Single. Day. This is coffee we’re talking about though, soooo…#noregrets.
FOURTH AND LAST: I ran out of smoothie ingredients halfway through the week, which means I had more coffee and less fruity goodness (my blender is feeling neglected) and I didn’t get as much protein as I’ve been trying to get.
Not to worry, friends! I still believe I can do this.
How do I know? I painted a rock about it:
I’m not hiding this one.
So once I got over the weekend (which I almost needed another weekend to recover from), I got back on the walking train on Tuesday and achieved my step goal that day and every day since then. I am now well stocked up on fruit for the week ahead. Next week I’ll share my super goal and the completely extra, totally over the top way I am tracking against it!
