One of the things I find most beautiful, exasperating, and plan-ruining about living in this wonderful, verdant state is the weather.
I don’t think it’s a surprise for anyone that the Pacific Northwest is known for its rain. Specifically, that it happens
often all the time. While this is true, to a point, the weather in Seattle and surrounding areas can actually be incredibly beautiful, especially during the summer and early fall.
Sometimes, however, we get both in the same day.
This is a view of my street, pointing towards the west.
Moments after taking that picture, I snapped this one, pointing towards the east.
At least on the grumpy side of the street, there’s a rainbow. I like to think it’s the PNW’s way of apologizing for not being able to decide whether I should wear a winter coat or not.
